The Observer | Comment | Ruaridh Nicoll: Clowns and coppers
There were some surprising faces among last week’s anarchist army. On Edinburgh’s Princes Street, an ancient lady with a white bun tied tight on top of her skull was weaving in and out of the Black Blocers and crusty Clowns, bowing and bobbing like a 19th-century music-hall version of a Red Indian. I have seen her before – she’s one of central Edinburgh’s resident anarchists.
