I originally published this back in January 2009 upon the eve of my departure from the United States. I was reminded of it when I met a guy in San Marino who voiced roughly the same opinions. I’d forgotten that I had taken such awesome photos of the art and as we wait for my wife’s visa to be approved so we can go back to the United States, I’m still looking for my shire. It’s not Morocco. Maybe I can find it by going home again…I hope so.
