The right to own a pet??? Never ceases to amaze me how dense people can be.
For the record, the rights are – speech, religion, press, assembly and petition for redress of grievances.
Americans know more about The Simpsons TV show than the US Constitution’s First Amendment, an opinion poll says.
Only one in four could name more than one of the five freedoms it upholds but more than half could name at least two members of the cartoon family.
About one in five thought the right to own a pet was one of the freedoms.
If I were a stranger here I would think the following would be enshrined in the bill of rights…
The right to malt liquor???
The right to an ipod? (am I the only person in the US that can’t afford one???)
The right to say “Its a free country”???
The right to enjoy a smokefree workplace??
The right to drive???
The right to a refund???
Or what about these…
The Right to Revolt.
The Right to not pay taxes if you don’t agree with how they are spent
The Right to associate with whomever you wish without government interference (like say wire tapping)
The Right to quit the military once you have fulfilled your obligation.
The Right to say whatever you want about the president without your phone getting tapped.
or The Right to worship God however you choose without government interference….
Nah…those are all stupid…lets stick with another one a true stranger would recognize and fight for…
THE RIGHT TO PARTY!!!!!
