You’ve heard me bitch about the recycling here…or lack of it…if you are on Oahu and can make it to this meeting, be there!

There will be a VITALLY important meeting Monday Feb. 13, at 9:30 a.m. at Honolulu Hale (City Hall) on curbside recycling. If you and anyone you know can come down NOW is the time.
This is a key step toward the goal we have worked so hard for. Tell all your friends and family, neighbors and associates — if you want curbside recycling on Oahu come down and show your support. I will have T-shirts for those who show up!
PLEASE come! You can just show your support by being there or you can testify in person. It’s painless, and there is a three minute time limit for testimony. Go to www.honolulu.gov/council/spkpwed.htm
and fill out the form to register to testify. (Enter Feb 13th for the meeting date, Bill 72 for the subject matter, click “support” and click that you are representing yourself).
If you can’t make it (but we NEED you to come down if possible) please submit testimony in support of Bill 72 by sending your email testimony to:
rtam@honolulu.gov, dmdelacruz@honolulu.gov,
jtachibana@honolulu.gov, ltam@honolulu.gov, bkmau@honolulu.gov
Put “Public Works and Economic Development Committee Testimony – Support Bill 72” as the subject line.
Alternatively, you can fax testimony to 527-5733.
Simple testimony with these two points is all that is necessary:
1) I support curbside recycling on Oahu.
2) Ensure that the curbside recycling program is comprehensive and includes paper, glass, plastic, and metal.
