I scored 20 points. Mink Hippie wallopped me with 22. Obviously, we are not Christians. (Thank God!) How will you do? Have fun.

What Do You Really Know
About The Bible?
The bible is the “best seller” that is rarely read. How much do you actually know about the so-called “Good Book”?
Answer all 50 questions, then hit “Submit” for your score and full biblical documentation of all the answers.
Of course I must throw in my thoughts on this one. These references were taken from
the old testament. The old testament is full of adultery, murder, stupid laws and as
far as I can see – useless information. (Some will argue that as the “prophecies” are
in the old testament. ) I am not saying some parts are not useful – such as proverbs-common sense and some great thoughts – but a lot of it is just not worth the reading. I’ve read the old testament. The New Testament, however, puts aside all this garbage
that the test pointed out, and allows us humans to begin again – the two commandments here are 1. Love your God (we are allowed choice to decide “our” God),
and 2. Love your neighbor. Covers it all. LOVE doesn’t include all the stupidity of humanity recorded in the old testament. War today doesn’t include LOVE. What TRUE Christians believe is up to the individual! It says in the Bible, “Each man must
choose”. We are not to judge others, our job is only to keep the faith (as we see it),
and LOVE. Pretty simple. I surely understand hatred, or at least distain for a huge
number of people who call themselves Christians.
One last thought. A TRUE test of what the Bible says (to me) would be designed by someone who is obviously NOT the mindset of that website. It would also turn to the new testament as all the stupidity in the old testament changed with Jesus.
So that’s it. It was interesting though, and I am VERY glad those hideous laws changed. I think the old testament is one of the most brutal and awful records of the trends of those times past.
Thanks for the opportunity to share my feelings. I am what some might call a World Christian. It is for me to decide in my heart my specific beliefs, and then I
only have two things to do from there. 1. Love God. 2. Love my neighbor. Covers it all. I appreciate the intellectual challenge and thought provoking thoughts you share and your information and articles. Have a wonderful day and
GOD BLESS YOU ALL! 🙂
Thanks again for the mental workout!
This is an addendum to my previous comments and the only reason I am adding them
is because I need to change one thought in my first response. There are a few books
in the old testament that are very worthy of reading – Proverbs (as I mentioned), Ecclesiastes, Isaiah, and Daniel. Of course like any course of study -one read may not
be as clear as many of them! That’s all!
