So long to the guy that shaped my childhood. He was responsible for most of my favorite shows. Fantasy Island, The Love Boat, and Starsky and Hutch among them. I didn’t know Aaron Spelling and yet I can say that he has embedded himself in my consciousness for all time. Every time I hear “The Plane”, Huggybear, or see a cruise ship…the emotional response I have is because of this guy. Thanks Aaron.

TV producer Aaron Spelling dies at 83
Spelling died at his home in Los Angeles after suffering a stroke on June 18, according to publicist Kevin Sasaki.
Spelling’s other hit series included “Love Boat,” “Fantasy Island,” “Burke’s Law,” “The Mod Squad,” “Starsky and Hutch,” “T.J. Hooker,” “Matt Houston,” “Hart to Hart” and “Hotel.” He kept his hand in 21st-century TV with series including “7th Heaven” and “Summerland.”
